How to add Developer Tab in Excel: Easy Guide

Developer Tab contains many Extra features that can help improve your workflow or make work easier. The problem is that it is not readily available in the ribbon by default. Therefore you have to add it manually. In this tutorial, I will show you how to add a developer tab in Excel.

How to add a developer tab in Excel?

Method 1: Using the options method

1. Click on File, which is located in the far left corner

2. Click on options (A pop-up window will show up)

3. Under this window, select Customize Ribbon

4. Navigate to the Customize the ribbon section located on the right side, then tick on the developer checkbox under the mains tab

5. Click Okay to apply the changes

6. The developer tab will now show on the ribbon

Method 2: Using the right-click option

This is the quickest method to add a developer tab in Excel

1. Right-click on the ribbon and select Customize the ribbon

2. Head over to the Customize the ribbon section located on the right side, then tick on the developer checkbox under the mains tab

3. Click okay, and the developer’s tab will appear on the ribbon

How to remove the developer tab in Excel?

1. Right-click on the ribbon

2. Select Customize the ribbon

3. Un-tick the developer tab under the mains tab

4. Press okay, and it will be successfully removed from the ribbon

How to remove Macros in Excel?

Macros help to make work easier. For instance, you can record and use macros to do any task faster. Macros can also be created using VBA code. The problem is that these additions require you to save the Excel file.XLSM. Additionally, they may make Excel laggy. To remove macros in Excel, follow these steps.

1. Open the Excel file containing Macros

2. Click on the developer tab, then Macros

3. Delete each macro one by one by selecting then clicking on delete

4. That’s it; all the macros will be removed.

5. Now save the Excel file as a Macro-free workbook.
